The Manchester Centre for Public History and Heritage (MCPHH) brings together academic researchers, history and heritage professionals and members of the public in the production of history.

Our projects range from understanding the relationship between heritage and wellbeing, to developing new interpretations of historic houses, to writing and broadcasting on historical topics. They encompass millennia of the past, from the Neolithic to the present day, and stretch across the globe. The Centre’s experts are internationally recognised for their excellence in publicly engaged research.
